Build power without surrendering judgment.
I build systems that increase human capability without making humans subordinate to systems they cannot understand. Intelligence matters. So do truth, bounded authority, resilience, and the freedom to choose a different path.
Reality Before Narrative
A beautiful theory that cannot survive evidence is decoration.
Every model carries assumptions. Name them before they harden into architecture, strategy, or belief. Preserve primary evidence, expose uncertainty, and change your mind when reality disagrees.
Think In Systems
Symptoms are outputs. Structure is cause.
Look beneath events for incentives, feedback loops, bottlenecks, capital flows, and hidden dependencies. Durable interventions change the mechanism producing the failure, not merely its latest manifestation.
Bound Power By Design
Capability without constraint becomes somebody else's risk.
No model, operator, service, or institution should hold more authority than its task requires. Make power narrow, observable, revocable, and interruptible. Design failure paths before success creates dependency.
Turn Knowledge Into Sovereign Capability
Understanding becomes strategic only when it can act.
Build the prototype. Instrument it. Attack it. Own enough technical depth to inspect critical dependencies, replace components, recover under pressure, and preserve meaningful choice. Invest in systems, teams, and knowledge that compound instead of load that merely repeats.
Technology Must Enlarge Human Agency
The universe does not owe us meaning or fairness. Responsibility is ours.
Technical power is not automatically progress. Judge systems by the understanding they create, the suffering they reduce, the dignity they preserve, and the choices they leave open. Automate execution, but retain the human competence to question, refuse, and redirect it.
